Brief technological scheme of reinforcing strands production

6.5-10 mm rolled wire of 0.70 to 0.90 % carbon content is used for reinforcing strands production. Metallurgical works of Ukraine, Russia, Moldova are rolled wire suppliers.

Before launching the rolled wire and the other technological materials pass through incoming control.

Technological process of reinforcing strands production comprises the following operations:

• rolled wire patenting;
• preparation of rolled wire surface for drawing;
• wire drawing;
• strand lay;
• thermomechanical treatment of strand.

When patenting the rolled wire is heated in the gas furnace and passes through bailing hardening in the melt of lead. Phosphate is used as a sublubricating layer before drawing. The wire drawing takes place without stranding of wire about its axis and with intensive cooling. The strand passes intensive and guaranteed thermomechanical treatment after stranding.

All technological equipment is computerized, technological characteristics are controlled and supported automatically.

The worked out technological process and modern equipment allow to manufacture strands in full compliance with the given technological requirements.
